Covid-19 Salon Policy for Clients

We hope you and your loved ones are keeping well at this time. We are delighted to inform you that after 15 weeks of closure we will be re opening our doors on the 4th July 2020. Whilst we are excited to get back to doing what we love, we wanted you to know that in order to re-open under the context of COVID-19, we have made some changes to the way we operate with your health and safety a top priority. Please see our client policy below, this will help you prepare and understand the changes on your next visit.

Our Policy

What will change

  • COLOUR APPOINTMENTS - PLEASE ARRIVE WITH CLEAN HAIR - NO TEMPORARY ROOT COVER UP.
  • We request that you do not arrive too early for your appointment, no more than 5 minutes before hand, as we have to keep numbers in salon at a minimum.
  • There will be an automatic hand sanitiser dispenser by the stairs in our reception area and through out the salon, please apply the sanitiser on arrival.
  • We have removed the coffee table and stools in reception to give you enough space to sit or stand and maintain a safe distance while waiting.
  • We will take your temperature, using contactless equipment before we check you in for your appointment.
  • If you have a jacket, we will ask that you cover and hang it your self or keep it with you at all times in a black bag.
  • We will be serving chilled filtered water or push button coffee & Hot Cocolate only (at the stylists chair) in disposable paper cups only.
  • Your stylist will be wearing full PPE which will be changed regularly according to government guidelines.
  • The latest guidelines states that it is not mandatory for you to wear a mask on your visit and we respect your choice either way.
  • All clients will wear single use items on them i.e towels and capes and we will sterilise each gown after every appointment.
  • Each stylist station, chair & backwash will be wiped down and sterilised after every use.
  • Please do not touch any products in our retail section unless you are purchasing them, we will happily help you.
  • Downstairs in the large extension area we have implemented a one way system, please simply follow the yellow arrows on the floor for guidance.
  • Please do not bring in or order any food to the premises.
  • Please arrive alone.
  • No Dogs are allowed.
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you are late to your appointment it is likely we will have to reschedule it. Any late arrivals will have a knock-on effect on the next client’s appointment and the number of guests in the salon.

Your appointment

  • Our quiet room basins will be divided by safety screens and where possible your stylist will shampoo your hair; if time does not allow this then one of our trained assistants will look after you in the quiet room area and they will be wearing full PPE provided by us including a face shield and mask.
  • Some of our styling stations will be out of use, this is to allow for adequate social distancing. In addition to this all styling stations will be fully cleaned in between each client. All of your stylist’s equipment will also be fully disinfected in between every client. Your stylist will be wearing PPE and disposable aprons; which will be cleaned and/or replaced. You will be given a freshly sterilised gown and all other sundries used are disposable.
  • If your stylist has to leave you for a moment, for example, to check a colour, they will apply hand sanitiser both when they leave you and again when they return. Any contact between your stylist and anyone other than you will be kept to an absolute minimum.
  • After your appointment you may be asked to check out at our cloak room till and then asked to leave via the back door to avoid over crowding.
  • On some rare occasions we may ask you to leave via the back door with out paying and then we will contact you for payment by phone.

Salon environment

  • Hand sanitiser will be readily available throughout the salon.
  • We will not be offering any magazines or newspapers at this time.
  • Please do not bring friends or family members, who do not have an appointment, in to the salon with you and try to really limit your belongings.
  • When using the toilets please wipe down everything you touch before and after using the products provided.
  • We have adjusted our salon opening hours to enable us to reduce the number of team members in the salon by 50% at any one timebut still all work full time.
Finally, we have installed into the salons air conditioning ducts with a combination of ion technology and a state of the art UV light filter to provide you with mountain fresh, germ free air for the ultimate peace of mind. Sensors will monitor this internally.
